Imagine a place where you are surprised by love and kindness.
Imagine a place where you are greeted by a welcoming smile and a warm handshake or hug. If you have children, you can rest assured that they will have a fun and safe place to grow in their faith. As you make your way to the sanctuary, you find a comfortable seat and settle in. You enjoy the music prior to the service as you prepare for worship. Or maybe you just take a breather and begin to relax after a hectic week. Then the service begins.
You notice a distinctly positive vibe to the worship. The music is moving. The prayers are encouraging. The message is inspiring, and relevant. Afterwards you enjoy coffee and fellowship with others who are also on a spiritual journey. As you head home, you notice something surprising. You feel better than when you arrived! You have just experienced worship at the First Congregational Church of Ramona.
Perhaps your experience in the past with “church” has been something like mine – too often negative, irrelevant, or even downright boring. Sadly, far too many churches today fail to connect with real people who have real questions and real needs. At FCC we believe you will experience a different kind of church. Our message is a positive one through and through. Jesus shared good news and we seek to do the same, the good news of God’s love.
Blessings,
David Auten, Pastor
Worship Services
The Sunday
morning schedule includes worship in the Sanctuary, Church School and
Fellowship. Each Sunday our congregation
gathers for worship at 9:00 a.m., 10:15 a.m. and 4:15 p.m. Our 9:00 a. m. service
is a worship expression that includes the traditional hymns and liturgy
of the Christian church. Our 10:15 a.m. service is a bit more informal. Familiar songs and children's events are an
important part of this service.
At 4:15p.m. we are offering an alternative service featuring acoustic guitar music, time for meditation, weekly communion, and the same positive message as our two morning services. This new service will provide our members and the Ramona community with an alternative style and time for worship. Sunday School and nursery care will be provided.
We invite you to find the worship
experience that speaks most clearly to you… and to join us each Sunday.
We welcome all visitors and encourage you to join us in worship and the
many other activities and missions in the church.
