On Holy Monday

Wholly on hold

between bold

triumphal entry

and trumped up and dumped out exit,

we exist,

expecting

excommunication,

ecstasy, or

eternity

as we may pray

as some say

Jesus may

have chosen or been chosen to pray

in silence on this day

in advance

of the violence

to come not far in the distance,

not to put a hold on,

but to unfold

expression and

expectation to behold

and to boldly

bare, bear, share and repair

the breach between Deus, Jesus and us.
