Phoenix of God’s Hope

“I thought I would end my days with my family, and be as long-lived as the phoenix”

There’s a phoenix flying in the sky over there!?! …how odd! how rare! They’re usually just rising, aren’t they? Out and up from flames that try to singe them and engulf their beating hearts into an inferno and submissive capture? But this one is flying! In the manner of a calm placid lake! Ripples of shades and infinite variations of color. In view for everyone to gaze at, to marvel at… to see. Oh, how it’s flight shines God’s light as it flies! This phoenix is going somewhere! It must be on a journey of some kind, I suppose. Whoever they are right now, wherever they’re flying to, they’re up there for us all, I believe. Those of us down here, standing below with our eyes shifted to the Heavens. Just in time to view God’s messenger of Hope flying by. That’s what I’m going to call it… the Phoenix of God’s Hope. Certainly, it must be Hope! God’s Word fueling the phoenix on, powering those reaching wings to the ends of the skies; speaking in those rainbows of color so we can see God’s message!

Look up my children,

look up with wonder.

Whether you’re home or lost,

Look up, my child.

For the phoenix flies too!

It isn’t always having to escape the despair of hell’s grasp.

The phoenix can soar, can take flight!

On the winds of my Love and grace.

So that my light can shine down upon you!

And embrace you with Hope.

God’s light casting His beam upon our upturned faces. I hope I don’t forget this moment, any moment really. I hope to always remember to turn my gaze up. Look for the Phoenix in the Sky, flying by. For we can fly too! The rise isn’t the end of a story… it’s the beginning.

It’s the flight that carries the rewards of holding Hope inside.
