Hell Yes or Hell No?

Join us for an enlightening Bible study on Wednesday, September 25th, at 6:30 pm in the Fireside Room at First Congregational Church of Ramona. This session delves into the diverse perspectives within Christianity regarding the afterlife, focusing on the concepts of Hell and the grace of God.

We will explore:

  • Eternal Conscious Torment: The traditional view of hell as a place of unending punishment.

  • Annihilationism: The belief that immortality is limited only to those who are saved and that the wicked are ultimately destroyed rather than eternally tormented.

  • Universalism: The hope that all will ultimately be reconciled to God.

  • Purgatory: The idea of a temporary state of purification to prepare people for heaven by sanctifying their desires.

Through our discussion, participants will gain a deeper understanding of these theological positions and reflect on what kind of God is revealed in Jesus Christ. This Bible study aims to provide a space for open dialogue, allowing us to grapple with these profound questions together.

The study will be facilitated by our pastor, Dr. Wes Ellis.
