Receiving Prayer

In this three part study, we will discuss prayer—what it is, how to do it, why it’s so difficult, and what we can do to receive it.

The very idea of receiving prayer runs contrary to the way we are usually conditioned to think about it—Isn’t prayer a “discipline”? Isn’t prayer something we do? But in this study we will learn that prayer is a gift and that we are invited to approach it not as a project of our own efforts but in a posture of anticipation of the coming of God.
