Exciting News from the Ramona Youth Collaborative!

We are thrilled to announce that Raymond Swaveley has been hired as the new Director of the Ramona Youth Collaborative! After a thorough search, we are confident that Ray is the right person to lead and grow this ecumenical partnership, nurturing the spiritual formation of youth in our community.

Ray comes to us with a wealth of experience in youth ministry and a deep passion for creating spaces where all young people feel valued, supported, and inspired in their faith journey. A Methodist by background, Ray has a strong commitment to working across traditions and is excited to collaborate with the diverse churches that make up the Ramona Youth Collaborative. He currently lives in El Cajon but has expressed openness to becoming even more deeply rooted in our community. His thoughtful questions, warm presence, and innovative vision for youth ministry impressed us all during the interview process, and we can’t wait for you to meet him!

Mark your calendars—Ray’s official start date will be on Easter Sunday, April 20, 2025! What better way to celebrate new beginnings than by welcoming a new leader who will walk alongside the youth of Ramona, helping them encounter the hope and joy of the Gospel?

Please join us in praying for Ray as he prepares for this new role, and stay tuned for opportunities to welcome him in person!

With joy and anticipation,

Pastor Wes Ellis and
